Internal Family Systems (IFS)Â
Sometimes part of us wants one thing while another part wants something completely different.
Â
Â
IFS helps people better understand those internal conflicts and develop a different relationship with the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be keeping them stuck.

Understanding Internal Family Systems

Most people have experienced internal conflict. You may want to speak up but stay quiet. Want to trust someone but keep your guard up. Want to slow down but feel unable to stop pushing yourself.
Â
IFS views these experiences as different parts of ourselves trying to help in the ways they've learned over time. Some parts carry pain, fear, or difficult experiences. Other parts work hard to protect us from feeling those things.
Â
Rather than fighting those reactions or judging them, IFS focuses on understanding them. As that understanding grows, many people find they feel less stuck, more connected to themselves, and better able to move forward in ways that align with who they are and what matters most to them.

Self-Criticism
Working with the 'inner critic' part that often feels loud, judgmental, or never satisfied, helping to shift from self-blame toward self-compassion.
Trauma & C-PTSD
Helping parts that are still carrying the weight of past hurts or traumatic memories to find relief and safety in the present.
What IFS Can Help With
Anxiety
Understanding the parts of you that feel on edge, worried, or hyper-vigilant, and learning how to help those parts feel more secure.
Relationship Challenges
Identifying the parts that get triggered in relationships, providing insight into reactive patterns and opening up new ways of connecting with others.
People-Pleasing
Exploring the parts that feel responsible for others' emotions or afraid of conflict, allowing you to set clearer boundaries with less guilt.
Identity Exploration
Creating space to explore different aspects of yourself—including identity, values, and purpose—with curiosity rather than pressure.
From Judgment to Curiosity
Many of the thoughts and emotions we struggle with are trying to protect us in some way. IFS helps us understand those patterns rather than fight against them.
