Empower Your Way Counseling LLC
The Person Behind the Practice

Originally from Philadelphia, PA, I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Penn State University in 2013. Over the last 13 years, I've worked across community mental health, correctional mental health, managed care, and private practice settings.

My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and intentional. I don't believe therapy needs to feel overly clinical to be effective. Some sessions may focus on practical tools for managing anxiety, anger, or everyday stress.
Â
Other sessions may involve exploring deeper patterns or experiences that continue affecting your life today. Not every session is heavy. Sometimes we'll be celebrating successes, laughing, or recognizing how far you've come.

Wherever the work begins, we'll move at a pace that feels manageable while staying focused on the changes that matter most to you.

Communities I Often Work With
Much of my work centers around supporting Black and Brown communities, Black men, LGBTQ+ , and others who haven't always felt understood or comfortable in traditional therapy spaces.

Many of the people I work with have experiences that are intertwined with family, culture, community, and societal expectations. These experiences often shape how we see ourselves and move through the world. What someone has been through is just as important as the symptoms that brought them to therapy.
